Flood intelligence systems for rural communities

Collaborators

This project investigates the options for data collection, analysis, and presentation to improve information flow and decision making before and during flood events for rural communities.  This will explore types and locations of river, creek and rain gauges, how data can easily and effectively be presented to residents, and back-up systems in case of communication and energy outages.  This is focused on rural communities in NSW where recent flooding has highlighted gaps in existing flood intelligence networks and will include specific case study locations.
